Aurora Borealis

Tonight we saw the most super spectacular northern lights either of us has personally ever seen. We went out for a hot tub just past 10:30pm and as soon as we're in the hot tub the sky lights up in narrow ribbons and streaks. We are at a loss to describe the way they danced and whipped around-almost drawing pictures or writing messages in the sky. We've never even seen pictures showing the lights as we saw them tonight. We've found a website that helps to indicate when we should be able to see them http://www.aurorasentry.net/ so next time we'll try to take pics.
